We hope everyone who took part in, supported, or came along to the Dragon Boat Race had a fantastic time.
The Chinese Dragon Boat Race has been a highlight in Salford since 2012, taking place at MediaCityUK. Year after year, the event brings together local organisations, communities, and supporters for a fun, fast-paced day of racing on the water, all in support of great causes.
This year, “Roe Hard Roe Home” were proud to take part, joining 42 other teams in a day full of energy, competition, and teamwork.
The team got off to a strong start in their first race at 2pm, showing great determination and teamwork throughout. Despite a solid effort, they finished in third place in a competitive heat, with the NHS team taking the win.
In their second race at 4pm, the team came back even stronger, delivering an excellent performance to take first place in their heat.
Across the day, Roe Hard Roe Home finished 33rd out of 43 teams overall.
A huge thank you and well done to all of our team members who took part. We’d also like to extend our thanks to everyone who came down to support on the day. The atmosphere along the waterfront made it a brilliant experience for everyone involved.
Thanks to the generosity of supporters and fundraising efforts, a total of £924 has been raised for Alfie’s Squad.
