Charles Taylor is the trading name of Auctus Limited and was established as an unincorporated business over 100 years ago as an auctioneering house and Sheriffs Office.
It currently provides specialist services to, amongst others, insolvency practices, various Government Departments including the Official Receivers, HM Customs & Excise and the Inland Revenue in all processes relating to seized goods. These services primarily consist of insolvency valuation work, bailiff support work, storage of seized goods and ultimately the realisation of seized assets by public / private auction.
As a nominated court assessor, providing impartial valuations and ensuring that sales are conducted in a preferred manner is the very basis of our business. Whilst we are commercially aware and try to maximise realisations from our clients, the emphasis is on accountability and compliance.
Charles Taylor has also become a part of the Cerberus Group which is a leading regional business in its market sector, employing over 50 staff. It operates in a highly technical and high profile market providing the following principal services, on top of those that Charles Taylor already provide:
